The art of landslides: how stochastic mass wasting shapes topography and influences landscape dynamics
Description
HyLands is a landscape evolution model consisting out of 3 new Landlab components. Landlab is a python package for Earth surface modeling. This archive supplements a publication with the same title in the Journal of Geophysical Research - Earth Surface.
New Landlab components are:
- BedrockLandslider: Location and magnitude of episodic bedrock landsliding
- PriorityFloodFlowRouter: Accumulate flow and calculate drainage area using RICHDEM
- SpaceLargeScaleEroder: SPACE large-scale eroder
A new plotting function was developed (imshowhs_grid) to display a map view of data over all nodes in the grid using a hillshade topography map in the background.
