WHITE COLLAR CRIMES DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN INDIA

This review article discusses and acknowledges the impact of white-collar crime under the harsh situations of the second outburst of COVID-19. The COVID-19 has imposed unendurable nationwide restrictions on our daily routine and development. The pandemic heavily impacted the economic balance of our country, i.e., India, which resulted in an economic crisis, and this crisis molded itself into numerous crimes. There's an immediate rise in criminal incidents and arrests are most heavily noticed among Institutional crimes, Broker Embezzlement, Money Laundering, Ponzi scheme, Cybercrime, Insider trading, and Bank Fraud. The secondary data is collected in this study and an online survey was done to collect and frame the cases. With this article, we have come to know that several types of White-Collar Crimes and their impact exponentially in pandemic situations. The cases mentioned herein are of the intra-territorial jurisdiction of India and the cases are taken from different newsletters and elaborated the nexus of white-collar crime components with the terrific situation of COVID-19 second outburst in India. This article also provides a precautionary measure and makes us conscious about the impact of the second wave of Corona Virus situation and also makes us prepare for the harsh situations if the third wave of Corona Virus knocks on the door of the country.
