Description

The nature of Indian civilization is marked by male dominance, and regardless of women's efforts, they appeared to be constantly undervalued. The advent of ICT has provided a glimmer of hope and a plethora of possible solutions to this imbalance, which is why women's empowerment has been prioritised, because they are frequently the victims of gender inequality. ICT has the potential to be a significant accelerator for gender equality. While there is no silver bullet for achieving gender equality, digital technology offers a way to close gender disparities through improving access to welfare, identification, financial services, and information. Many of the hurdles that women face can be broken down by technology, opening up new economic opportunities and allowing them to engage in the workforce, transforming their future. True, digital technology have had a profound impact on modern feminist movements: the way we organise, the techniques we employ, breaking down barriers, undermining state power, creating information, and forming unimaginable solidarity networks. The digital revolution is changing the way humanity lives, works, and interacts. Gender equality is a widely held concern around the world. Furthermore, the development of ICTs has given it new dimensions. ICTs play a significant role in development through improving service delivery, improving governance, and expanding opportunities for underprivileged populations. Women can benefit from gender-neutral ICT policies that foster industry growth. SDG 5 aspires to increase the use of ICTs to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. ICTs are continuing to change the way we live and work. For women, girls, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, using technology to advance gender equality and women's empowerment is critical. This article examines ICT-enabled networking for gender equality. It also discusses policy framework for gender equality through ICT and goes on to suggest ways to improve the conditions leading to Gender equality.
