Description
Diogène l'Homme Chien by Yan Marchand conveys the biography and philosophy of Diogenes von Sinope to young readers of the 21st century: The fictional character Androsthène, a young Greek, sets off for Athens to complete his studies at the Platonic Academy . The children's book was published by "Les Petits Platons" and is also part of the series of the same name, which is famous for its successful adaptations of philosophical texts, ideas and concepts from various eras. “Les Petits Platons” are now distributed worldwide and translated into 13 languages. The article sheds light on the transformation of the old text for modern recipients and the dual addressing (young readers and mediating adults).
