Description

The nigricornis species-group

According to Gauld (2000), this group is characterised by the female not possessing an indentation on the hind margin of tergite VII (Figs 57 & 60), and by the absence of epicnemial carina in both female and male (Figs 26, 29, 64, 65 & 76). Only one species (A. nigricornis) was considered in this group by Gauld; now we include A. nigriventris Mocsáry, 1905 within this group.
