D3.2: Communication and Outreach Report Year 1

This deliverable entitled “D3.2 - Communication and Outreach Report Year 1” outlines the work carried out in Work Package 3 (WP3) during the eleven months of the period between May 2017 and March 2018 of the PRACE-5IP project. Although PRACE-5IP began in January 2017, WP3 activities in essence started immediately after the end of PRACE-4IP WP3 activities at the end of April 2017. This deliverable also provides an updated dissemination plan for the PRACE-5IP WP3 activities whose course of actions will change as compared to how these have been described in deliverable.
Highlights of the reported activities include:

• Publication of the PRACE Digest 2017
• Publication of 10 Standalone Articles
• Publication of 19 Press Releases
• 12 PRACE advertisements on printed publications
• PRACEdays17 participation to the second European HPC Summit Week with an increased participation
• PRACE presence at EAGE 2017, ISC 2017, SOR 2017, DI4R 2017 and SC 2017
• Preparation of website overhaul tender document
• Participation of WP3 partners presenting PRACE at 11 Science Fairs, career fairs, exhibitions at science museums
• Publication of 3 news fact sheets
• Creation and publication of 21 videos
• Launch of the Outreach to Universities Programme

This deliverable is divided into four chapters. Chapter 1 briefly introduces the Work Package and provides a general overview of the work carried out in the reporting period and an overview of the updated dissemination plan for the remaining project activities. Chapter 2 describes in more detail the work carried out in each of the tasks of WP3. Chapter 3 describes in more detail the updated dissemination plan for the remaining project. Chapter 4 presents conclusions.
