Lithosaphonecrus papuanus (Nieves-Aldrey & Butterill, 2014)

Lithonecrus papuanus Nieves-Aldrey & Butterill, 2014: 225, ♀ & ♂.

Lithosaphonecrus papuanus (Nieves-Aldrey & Butterill) Schwéger et al. (2015b: 9).

Distribution. Papua New Guinea (Nieves-Aldrey & Butterill 2014: 225, 229).

Remarks. Schwéger et al. (2015b) established the new combination indirectly after synonymizing the monospecific genus Lithonecrus with Lithosaphonecrus.

Biology. Reared from bud petiole and leaf galls on Lithocarpus celebicus (Miq.) Rehder (Nieves-Aldrey & Butterill 2014). The gall inducers have yet to be confirmed.
