THE TRUTH OF THE ERA IN THE WORK G. ESEMURATOVA

This article is about the outstanding writer of Karakalpak literature Gulaysha Yesemuratova, about her ability to artistically reproduce the truth of life and time. The story “Mynda bir keshirim” (One of a thousand apologies), which is about of the hard days that fell on people during the period of repressions of the 30-40s of the twentieth century, reveals the writer’s skill in the artistic depiction of the truth of life, as well as a number of pictorial means by which the author achieves her goals. The author of the article makes an analysis of another story by the writer “Gonergen Surenler” (Obsolete Slogans), revealing the literary value and artistic truth of life in the 70-80s of the last century. This story depicts how, in times of stagnation, some people, in order to enrich themselves and gain cheap prestige, oppress others, and do not value human life, the life of a simple citizen.
