MT2D
Description
MT2D is a two-dimensional (2D) magnetotelluric (MT) or radio-magnetotelluric (RMT) forward modelling software. It uses unstructured grids and allows for arbitrary distributions of conductivity, dielectric permittivity and magnetic permeability. The algorithm uses the total-field approach.
To deal with broadband frequencies (such as MT and RMT problems), a 2D grid of unstructured triangles including the air is used for both TE and TM modes.
A total and scattered field decomposition (TSFD) in combination with perfectly-matched layers (PML) can be applied for different setups.
