Smart Vehicular Communication System Using Li-Fi Technology

Large numbers of road accidents are happening all over the world due to the collision between vehicles. More than 1.2 million peoples died in road accidents in 2018, according to world health organization. This paper idea is proposed to reduce the consequences of accidents in our daily lives and avoid collision between vehicles. This paper focuses on developing a smart vehicular communication system using Li-Fi technology which gives protection against vehicular collisions on the roads. Li Fi (Light Fidelity) is an emerging technology which make use of visible light spectrum for communication. A visible light communication (VLC) is combination of illumination and communication. VLC refers to the communication technology which uses the visible light source (LED) as a signal transmitter, the air as a transmission medium, and the suitable photodiode as a signal receiving device. The use of Li-Fi in V2V Communication is considered promising.
