Gaia DR3 in context: OB stars on a Milky Way image out to 12 kpc

Description

Overlays Gaia DR3 OB star density isosurfaces and masers on a model of the Milky Way to give a sense of scale and location.

Notes

The 3D model of the Milky Way was constructed in Blender by Stefan Payne-Wardenaar (Twitter: @StefanPWinc). Image of the Sgr A* black hole from the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Collaboration.
