Materials of the XII scientific-practical Internet conference "Topical trends and innovations in solving problem of crop production" which is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of Professor A. Ye. Zaikevych

In the collection of materials of the XII scientific-practical Internet conference "Topical trends and innovations in solving problems of crop production", dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the founder of agricultural research in Ukraine, Professor Anastasii Yehorovych Zaikevych, it was highlighted essays of biography, results of analytical and bibliographic researches, field experiments in the farming and crop production.

It was found that the multifaceted activities of Anastasii Zaikevych affected many areas of scientific, social and cultural life in the regions where he had to live and work. After all, the work of the scientist gave impulse to the emergence and development of domestic research in agriculture, medicinal plant growing, industrial beet growing.

Zaikevych also studied sheep breeding, apiculture and joined to the history of pottery development in Poltava region. The Poltava-Zaikevych alfalfa variety is a scientific achievement that glorifies the scientist to this day. For 91 years, starting from 1931, this variety of alfalfa is recommended for cultivation in the all climatic zones of Ukraine.

It is noted that the professional achievements of the great scientist, prominent naturalist to this day have not lost not only their relevance but also the impact on such important components of life in Poltava region as educational, scientific and industrial.
