Practical applications of IIIF: as a building block towards a digital National Collection, part of the AHRC funded "Towards a National Collection" programme, aims to highlight and demonstrate the opportunities and benefits that the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) standard offers to a wide audience of heritage institutions and researchers looking to share, present and re-use high quality images and media on the web.
This Zenodo repository presents the documents, videos, and files associated with the Practical Applications of IIIF Presents: Project Outcomes and Future Directions, held on 29 April 2022.
This final webinar seeks to present some of the project demonstrators that were developed as part of the project: Simple Site, Simple IIIF Discovery, the IIIF Collection Explorer, the Tudor Paintings Research Project/InvenioRDM Repository Pilot, and the new Digirati Manifest Editor.
In the description below each video from the webinar can be downloaded from this resource or they will also be stream-able, via YouTube once they have been uploaded. Once created these Individual links to all these YouTube resources will be provided on the project website at: https://tanc-ahrc.github.io/IIIF-TNC/webinar03.html
This data set also includes all the documents and files associated with the webinar, namely pdfs of the slides, where available, compiled by each speaker, the video presentations, transcripts of the videos, and the chat file that accompanied the webinar. There is also the option to download a zipped file that contains all the videos, transcripts, slide decks, and webinar chat.

Simple Discovery and the IIIF Collection Explorer (Joseph Padfield) - Introducing these two demonstrators that were created to provide alternative examples of how users can explorer complex IIIF resources.

Tudor Paintings Research Project - InvenioRDM Repository Pilot (Charlotte Bolland and Peter Cornwell) - Introducing content and the process of creating a new, example data repository of technical images of Tudor Paintings hosted on the InvenioRDM system.

Digirati Manifest Editor (Tom Crane) - Introducing the new user friendly IIIF manifest editor that the Practical IIIF project has helped to support.
