Preliminary report on the lighting of the hamlet of Cumeada (Reguengos de Monsaraz, Évora, Portugal) and suggestions for improvement. Part II – measurement of illuminances.

After a first qualitative analysis of public lighting in the village of Cumeada (Reguengos de Monsaraz, Évora, Portugal), an analysis of the maximum horizontal illuminances at 1.5 m above the ground was carried out, simulating the lighting that an observer receives when observing from a telescope. The analysis identified excessive illuminances for a residential area with low to very low road traffic and pedestrian flow. This addendum to the preliminary report proposes corrective measures with regard to luminous fluxes and the type of light source in order to improve the quality of the night sky, the environmental quality and the quality of life for residents.
