STUDIES ON GUM JEOL ( (LANNEA GRANDIS, SUPER). PART IV. ELECTRODIALYSIS

Gum jeol and gum arabic have been electrodialysed in the presence and absence of acids and have been found to be hydrolysed in all cases to the jeolic and arabic acid stage (mild hydrolysis). These acids have been found to behave almost similarly as regards freezing point depression, potentiometric titration with NaOH, total acidity and equivalent weight.
