The Avoidable Mortality in the Italian Regions
Description
Istat-BES calculates the value of avoidable mortality in the Italian regions. Avoidable mortality consists of the deaths of people aged between 0 and 74 whose cause of death is considered treatable or rather deaths that could have been avoided thanks to health care, prevention, and health treatments or that it would have been preventable with primary prevention interventions. The index is based on a base of 10,000 inhabitants.
