Evolutionary simulations for assessing the adaptive potential of somatic mutations

These are the scripts employed to generate the analysis performed for the paper, "The adaptive potential of non-heritable somatic mutations", accepted for publication in The American Naturalist. Master_script.sh defines the parameters for the simulations ran by Evolutionary_simulations.py - the values included in the provided file are shown as examples. Specifications about each parameter are stated inside Master_script.sh. main_editted_Majic.m is a modified version of the Matlab code developed by Owen et al 2020 to simulate the development of the skin patterns of zebrafish - please refer to Owen et al 2020 (10.7554/eLife.52998) for further details and complementary software to run the code we edited.
