Indagación Acerca de las Relaciones entre la Practica Científica y los Modelos Epistemológicos

RESUMEN: El grupo ICEM abordó un trabajo que tuvo como objetivo caracterizar las metodologías y patrones epistemológicos subyacentes en los trabajos científicos desde un criterio eminentemente descriptivo. Para ello ha contado con la actividad implementada desde centros, institutos y grupos de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata. El marco teórico se ha configurado teniendo en cuenta las propuestas epistemológicas de K. Popper, T. Kuhn, I. Lakatos y sus relaciones con la visión estándar de la ciencia, seleccionando los aspectos que guardan mayor relación con la práctica científica. Los datos fueron obtenidos mediante la técnica de “entrevista en profundidad”, según los parámetros correspondientes a los aspectos epistemológico-metodológicos que sirvieron de base al desarrollo del proyecto, tales como: factores que inciden en la organización de grupos de investigación y en la elección de tema, indicadores metodológicos, valoración de resultados, valores epistémicos, etc. La etapa que este trabajo resume ha constituido una primera aproximación a cuestiones planteadas en torno a la función que los modelos epistemológicos cumplen en el análisis de la práctica científica, permitiendo además identificar un conjunto de cuestiones a tematizar desde la perspectiva epistemológica actual.

SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION AND EPISTEMOLOGICAL MODELS

Abstract: The ICEM group has carried out a project which goal was the characterization of the methodological and epistemological patterns underlying scientific work, from a descriptive perspective. The searching activities of some centers, institutes and investigations groups of the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata were analyzed in order to achieve this aim. The theoretical frame was constructed on the basis of the epistemological proposals of K. Popper, T. Kuhn, I. Lakatos and their relations with the standard view of the science, selecting the aspects that keeps more relations with the scientific practice. The data were obtained employing the “deep interview” technique, according to the parameters corresponding to the epistemological-methodological aspects that constitute the basis of the project. These parameters include: factors that contribute to the organization of the investigation group and to the theme selection, methodological indicators, valuation of the results, epistemic values, etc. This work resumes the first approximation to the questions about the function of the epistemological models in the analysis of the scientific practice and it allows us to state some questions to be analyzed from the present epistemological perspective.
