Parachor of Benzaldehydes and Acetophenones

The parachors. of substituted benzaldehydes and acetophenones have been measured in benzene and methanol mad the validity of Hammick and Andrew's equation is confirmed. A simplified procedure for the preparation of nitrohydroxybenzaldahydes is reported.
