Adducts of bis-(2-guanidiniumbenzimidazole) nickel (II) salts with pyridine and ammonia

Adducts of bis-2-guanidiniumbenzimidazole nickel (II) salts with pyridine and ammonia have been studied. These are paramagnetic with \(\mu\) =2.98-3-05 B.M. Octahedral configuration of the adducts has been confirmed from electronic absorption spectra. The spectrophotometric data far the pyridine adducts have been used to calculate the values for the parameters \(\bigtriangleup\) \(\beta\) and \(\lambda\).
