Description
Altavelia willei (Drake & Harris, 1940) (new combination)
(Figs. 10, 11)
Lelia willei Drake & Harris, 1940: 31.
Paravelia willei: J. Polhemus, 1976: 512.
Type material examined. HOLOTYPE ♂ apterous (USNM): ‘ Peru, Santa Eulalia river \ March 29 1935 \ J.E. Wille collector’.
Comments. Distributional records for this species from Peru, to which it seems to be endemic, were provided by D. Polhemus (2014). The male abdominal terminalia of this species have not been previously illustrated, and figures are provided here (Figs. 11 C, D) to aid in future recognition of this species.
