Complex Formation between Mandelic Acid and Tervalent Indium in Aqueous Solutions

\(p\)H and conductometric studies of the system indium -porchlorate-mendolic acid-water show the existence of three chelates in solution with a metal to ligand ratio of 1 :1. 1 : 2, and 1 3. The 1 : 9 complex has been found to he most stable as it could be isolated in a crystalline state and its composition has been determined.
