LEVELS OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL EXECUTIVE AUTHORITIES IN UZBEKISTAN

activities of local government, which is a lower level of the executive branch of government in the Republic of Uzbekistan, has become a topical issue. This is because the executive committees of the Soviets of People's Deputies, which were introduced in the Republic of Uzbekistan as a model of the former Soviet Union and have long been an executive and commanding body, did not meet modern requirements at all. They were under the strong influence of the party authorities and could not decide anything on their own. Apparently, the above problems could not be solved under the rule of the command-and-control system. These, in turn, put the reform of the local government system as a topical issue for the leadership of the Republic.
