Description
The recent emphasis on personalized and value-based health care along with technological advances has presented a unique opportunity to change and align care and intervention of cancer survivors to their individual requirements. Patient Reported Outcomes and Experience Measures (PROMs and PREMs) have become an important tool in research for many health conditions. They may assist in evaluation of health-related quality of life as well as in efficacy of care and in routine medical encounters. For truly personalized healthcare it is not only survival, but the full range of issues relevant to disease-free cancer survivors that should be captured. In this paper we give an overview of digital health concepts and both benefits and pitfalls of digital distribution of traditional care pathways.
