The general corresponding states theory of Prigogine and coworkers applicable to the therodynamic properties of mixtures of spherical molecules and polymer solutions, has been extended to the mixtures of non-spherical :molecules and polymer solutions having non-spherical segments by using a potential originally due to Rowlinson. The :mixing functions are divided into two contributions, central and non-central. The results from the theory are contrasted with Flory and Prigogine theory for several mixtures, For condensed gas mixtures results are similar and non-central interaction is negligible but for other globular mixtures non-central terms are found to be large and important. The theory explains the experimental data well.
