Decomposition of Potassium Ferrocyanide in Presence of Mercury(II)-Thiourea Complex

 Mercury(II)-thiourea complex is found to act as catalyst in the decomposition of potassium ferrocyanide at low pH to produce Prussian Blue. The mechanism of decomposition has been suggested and discussed.
