BIBLIOTECA PUBLICĂ IZBIȘTE – O ABORDARE DIN PERSPECTIVA VIRTUALĂ SAU 80 DE ANI DE LA FONDAREA ACESTEIA

The significance of the modern library at the beginning of the 21st century consists in library visibility in the community as well as in the virtual environment. On occasion of the 80th anniversary of foundation of the Izbiște Public Library in Criuleni district, the author highlights the experience of this library’s activity in rural area, reflected through the virtual perspective. This approach emphasizes the role of the library in the community as of social, cultural and educational actor that provides solutions to the community member problems. Involvement of the library in various local, national or international initiatives and projects transforms the library into a space for participatory and synergetic cooperation of neighborhood people.
