Dissociation Constants of 5-Nitro-1-10-phenanthroline and its Fe(II) Complex in Methanol-Water and Ethanol-Water Mixtures

The dissociation constants of $tris$-5-nitro-1,10-phenanthrolinc Fe(ll) complex have been determined in different methanol· water and ethanol-water mixtures. The role or solvents on the dissociation constants has been discussed in the light of solvent-basicity and ion-solvent interactions. The limitations have also been stressed.
