Complexes of Co(II), Cu(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) with 2-(2'-Pyridyl)lmidazoline

Complexes of M²⁺ metal ions with 2-(2'-pyridyl)imidazoline (Pyimz) ofthe formulae [M(Pyimz)X₂], (M=Cu²⁺, Cd²⁺ or Hg²⁺ and X=CI^- or Br^-); [Cu(Pyimz)X₂], (X=NCS^- or $N{O}_2^{-}$); [Cu(Pyimz)₂X]X, (X=I^- or $Cl{O}_4^{-}$); [Co(Pyimz)₂(NCS)₂] and [Co(Pyimz)₃](CIO₄)₂ have been prepared and characterised by uv and ir spectral studies, magnetic susceptibility and electrical conductance measurements at room temperature.
