Description

Machadagrion cyanostigma (Machado, 2012) comb. nov.

Etymology: cyanostigma = cyano, Greek (κυάνεος) for dark blue + stigma, Latin for mark, in reference to the blue pterostigma.

Machado 2012: 81, Figs. 1–2 (description of male and female, illustrations of appendages in lateral and dorsal views, male and female pterostigma, male and female prothorax in dorsal view).

Deposition of type series. Holotype and allotype in ABMM collection, now UFMG (examined).

Larva described. No.

Material examined. (1 ♂, 1 ♀). Brazil: Bahia, Lençóis, Chapada Diamantina, 2.iv.1980, A. Row leg. (holotype & allotype).

Distribution. Brazil (Bahia).
