3. Subgenus Mesanoplolepis, n. subg.
[[worker]]. Monomorphes, taille mediocre. Yeux en arriere du milieu des cotes de la tete. Ecaille plus ou moins inclinee en avant. Ensemble des articles 2 et 3 du funicule pas beaucoup plus long que le premier. [[male]] de meme taille que la [[worker]], [[queen]] beaucoup plus grande. Ocelles distincts.
Type: Plagiolepis simulans Santschi, 1908.
Autres especes: P. (A.) deceptor Arnold, 1922 P. decolor Em. 1910, melanaria Arnold.
