Coxae I fused, with a very thin sternal line. Coxal seta I (1b) missing. Coxal seta II (1a) 16 (1415), 8 (7) apart; coxal seta III (2a) 23 (2831), 16 (1318) apart. Coxisternal area with coarse granules. Genitalia 17 (1619) wide, 10 (911) long; epigynium distally smooth, basally with coarse granules, partly in transverse irregular lines. Genital seta (3a) 5 (78). Opisthosoma evenly arched in cross section; annuli continuous dorsoventrally. Lateral seta (c2) 17 (1416), on annulus 3 (2) from genitalia rear margin. Ventral seta I (d) 33 (3142), 30 (2931) apart, on annulus 14 (1316); ventral seta II (e) 28 (3137), 19 (1718) apart, on annulus 29 (32); ventral seta III (f) 13 (1415), 13 (1214) apart, on annulus 49 (5355) or 5th from rear. Total ventral annuli 53 (5759), microtuberculate. Total dorsal annuli 67 (7071), with prominent, oval microtubercles except on caudal 8 (910) annuli, whose microtubercles are minute. Caudal seta (h2) 58 (51); accessory seta (h1) 2 (2).

Total ventral annuli 45, microtuberculate; total dorsal annuli 56, microtuberculate, as in female. Caudal seta (h2) 30; h1 2.

TYPE MATERIAL Holotype female, four female, one male paratypes, from Beurreria succulenta (Boraginaceae), Bouillante, Pigeon, Guadeloupe, coll. J. Etienne, 2 Sept. 2001, on two microscopic preparations in the collection of Departamento de Entomologia, Fitopatologia e Zoologia Agrícola, Universidade de São Paulo, ESALQ, Piracicaba, São Paulo, Brazil.

RELATION TO HOST vagrant on lower leaf surface.

ETYMOLOGY The specific designation, decorata, is derived from the Latin decoro, atus, meaning ornamented, and refers to the elaborate prodorsal shield design.

REMARKS C. decorata, the third known species in the genus, differs from the type species, C. syzygioidis Keifer, 1972 and from C. dorestei Boczek & Oleczek, 1987 in presenting prodorsal shield design (absent in the type species; only a few broken submedian lines in C. dorestei) and, in the caudal dorsal opisthosomal annuli with minute microtubercles (caudal dorsal annuli smooth in C. syzygioidis, dorsal annuli evenly beset with elongate, large microtubercles in C. dorestei). In the new species the empodia are 4rayed as in the type species, but, are 5rayed in C. dorestei.
