Colossendeis minor Schimkewitsch, 1893
Stock, 1984: 702–704, figs 1–6.
Material: 1 specimen (NHM.2003.685), ‘ TAIWAN 2001’ station CP130, 22º18.77' N, 120º6.99' E, 728– 709 m, 22 Aug 2001. 2 specimens (NHM.2003.686–687), ‘ TAIWAN 2003’ station CD 203, 22º0.2' N, 120º28.94' E, 635–868 m, 29 May 2003.
Remarks: Bamber (2002) has recently reanalyzed the distinctions between this Indo Pacific and Northeast Atlantic species, C. macerrima Wilson, 1881 and C. gardineri Carpenter, 1907. C. minor is distinguished from the other two species in having a long, tapering, upturning proboscis, a 5th palp article (P5) more than 1.9 times the length of P3, and P10 more than 1.7 times P9.
