Pirnonota convexicolis Stal 1859

Description

Pirnonota convexicolis Stål, 1859

Pirnonota is a monotypic genus. Champion (1899) pointed out the variation of the color pattern of this species and the sexual dimorphism. P. convexicollis is known from Brazil and Panama (Maldonado 1990). This is a new generic record from Colombia.

Material examined: COLOMBIA, 1ɗ, Valle [del Cauca], 3000’ Rio Jamundi, 10mi. S. Cali, 19­VII­1970, H. & A. Howden [CNC].
