Description

Genus Asilella Lehr, 1970

Asilella Lehr, 1970 —LEHR (1970:1845).

Type species: Asilus karafutonis Matsumura, 1911 — Matsumura (1911:71).

Fore basitarsus stout and thickened. Heavily setose flies. Male genitalia similar to Machimus, with reduced sternite 8 and arched hypandrium. Segments 8 and 9 of ovipositor compressed, segment 9 short, and cercus free (Fig. 59).
