Description

Key to the species of Luprops from Indian Peninsula and Sri Lanka

1 Pubescence long and erect, the longest hairs as long as third antennomere; elytra with traces of carinae toward lateral sides; posterior angles of pronotum rounded; size 9 mm or more .... L. rugosissimus Kaszab

- Pubescence short and decumbent, hairs shorter than third antennomere; elytra without traces of carinae toward lateral sides; posterior angles of pronotum at least slightly angulate; size less than 9 mm ............. 2

2 Genae punctate, hairy and less prominent; lateral margins of pronotum smooth, not undulate; pronotum with completely rounded anterior angles and pointed posterior angles; legs short, only apex of middle and hind femora extending beyond elytral margin ............................................................................................ 3
