Erythmelus (Parallelaptera) rex (Girault): Triapitsyn et al. 2007: 9–10 (taxonomic history, synonyms, diagnosis, illustrations, distribution, host associations).

New material examined. ARGENTINA. Mendoza, La Consulta, 33°44’S 69°07’W, INTA—Estación Experimental Agropecuaria La Consulta, 22–26.i.2007, S. Lanati [1 female, UCRC].

Comments. This common Holarctic species is for the first time being reported here from Argentina outside the Buenos Aires area.
