Notopoma

Description

Genus Notopoma

Diagnosis: (Modified from Lowry & Berents, 1996) Antenna 1, peduncle article 1 produced dorsodistally and medially, partially overlapping article 2. Outer plate of Maxilla 1 with 5–10 setal teeth. Gnathopod 2 of male adult carpochelate and in female subchelate. Pereopods 3 – 7 dactyli all directed posteriorly. Pereopod 7 with 1–2 small accessory spines. Pleopod 2 inner ramus reduced, 1-articulate or pleopod unirramous. Pleopod 3 one reduced 1-articulate ramus or pleopod absent. Uropod 2 with one ramus. Uropod 3 with one vestigial ramus bearing small recurved spines.
