Owada (NSMT); 31ɗ, 12Ψ, Vinh Phu Prov., Tam Dao, 910 m, 21/ 25.IV.1995 (NSMT); 5ɗ, 2Ψ, Ha Tay Prov., Tan Vien, 21°3'N, 105°21'E, 28.IV.1995 (NSMT); 1Ψ, “ Tonkin, Montes Mauson, April, Mai, 2-3000’,. Fruhstorfer” (a locality in Lang Son Prov., 21°52'N, 107°00'E) (MFN).
Distribution. China (Guangxi, Guizhou); Vietnam (Ha Tay Prov., Lang Son Prov., Vinh Phu Prov.). Remarks. This species is a member of the Protohermes differentialis group (Liu & Yang, 2006b) and is recorded from Vietnam for the first time. Neurhermes guangxiensis Yang & Yang, 1992 was found to be an junior synonym of Protohermes differentialis (Yang & Yang) as evidenced by the similar description and illustration in the original publication.
