3. Sorolopha asphaeropa Diakonoff, 1973

Sorolopha asphaeropa Diakonoff, 1973: 87, fig. 148 (3 genit., South New Guinea).

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. sphaerocopa (Meyrick, 1930) in male genitalia, but the cucullus has a broadly rounded apex, which is narrow in S. sphaerocopa. It also resembles S. asymmetrana Kuznetsov, 2003 in male genitalia, but it can be separated by having the ventral prominence of the cucullus more rectangular apically.

Material examined. China: 13, Shangsi (22°09' N, 107°58' E), Guangxi Province, 510 m, 6-IV-2002, leg. Shulian Hao & Huaijun Xue.

Distribution. China (Guangxi), New Guinea.

Remarks. This species is recorded for the first time from China.
