Scrobipalpa sattleri Lvovsky & Piskunov 1989

Description

48. Scrobipalpa sattleri Lvovsky & Piskunov, 1989

(Figs. 4, 20, 42)

Male genitalia (Fig. 20). Uncus prolonged, apex weakly rounded. Gnathos weakly curved, slender. Tegumen comparatively long, with broad anterior emargination, gradually narrowed posteriorly. Valva slender, weakly widened apically, distinctly exceeding top of uncus. Sacculus about one-sixth length of valva, nearly parallel sided, apex with small pointed tip. Paired processes of posterior margin of vinculum about as long as length of sacculus or slightly shorter, weakly curved outwards; medial excision deep and broad, V-shaped. Saccus moderately long and broad. Aedeagus short, stout, base rounded and strongly inflated, distal portion straight, broad, apex with small cornutus.

Distribution. China (Inner Mongolia), Mongolia, Turkmenistan. New record for China.

Notes. The distribution record from South Korea (Park & Ponomarenko 2006: 279, figs. 16, 47) is dubious and should probably be referred to S. bryophiloides Povolný. The differences of the male genitalia from those of S. nigripuncta sp. n. can be seen under that species.
