Audreia mosela Rocha

Description

Audreia mosela Rocha e Silva-Albuquerque & Lopes, 1976

Audreia mosela Rocha e Silva-Albuquerque & Lopes, 1976: 887. Epilampra mosela Beccaloni, 2007: electronic resource.

Geographical distribution. Brazil (Rio de Janeiro [Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro]).

Comments. The holotype male, 8 additional males, and 19 females are deposited in MNRJ. We revalidate the status of Audreia mosela, based on the morphology of genital structures, which distinguishes this species from those of Epilampra and Poeciloderrhis. The specimens do not have any tergal modification of the seventh abdominal segment, a character similar to that of Epilampra spp., but the configuration of L2vm (rounded apically) and the slightly elongated form of the right phallomere places these specimens in Audrea.
