Tetracanthella ksenemani Nosek 1964

Description

Tetracanthella ksenemani Nosek, 1964

Material examined. Eleven males, four females and six juveniles: Romania, Rodnei Mts, Vậrful Ineu Peak (Ünőkő), 2279 m a.s.l., 1.viii.2008, leg. Gy. Traser & S. Schiffer; together with F. handschini.

Tetracanthella ksenemani Nosek, 1964 was found on one collecting site in samples with F. handschini, represents a species new to the fauna of Romania according to the list of Fiera (2007). T. ksenemani was known only from Slovakia and Ukraine so far. The presence of this East-Carpathian species in the county of Maramureş gives a further interesting contribution to the high diversity of the genus in the region reported by Dányi and Traser (2008).
