Diplodontus silvestrii (Daday, 1898)

New records: India, Assam State, Kamrup district, SW of Guwahati city, Deeper Beel wetland, between the water hyacinth Eichhornia corniculata, 26.10903N 91.68359E, 37 m asl., 3. iii. 2010, leg. Bordoloi, 0/1/0 (mounted).

Records from the study area: Kerala, Karnataka—Cook (1967); Prasad (1974).

Habitat: Ponds.

Distribution: India, Sri Lanka, Sumatra, China.
