Halargyreus johnsonii Günther 1862

Material examined. Six specimens: MNRJ 30639 (1, 354.0 mm), T, E-526; MNRJ 30640 (1, 419.0 mm), T, E-526; MNRJ 30642 (1, 460.0 mm), T, E-526; MNRJ 30643 (1, 423.0 mm), T, E-526; MNRJ 30478 (1, 348.0 mm), T, E-527; MNRJ 30479 (1, 352.0 mm), T, E-537.
Distribution. Collected from off Espírito Santo, at depths from 1342 to 1649 m. Halargyreus johnsonii was described from off Madeira, and has anti-tropical distribution in the Atlantic, Indian, Pacific and Southern Oceans, except for North Pacific (Cohen et al. 1990; Chiu et al. 1990).
