Holotype (male): India, Meghalaya, Pohbazar, Shillong, 19.ix.1991, R.K. Varshney (NZSI).

Material studied: India: 1 female, Assam, Shillong [25°34'N, 91°53'E], 1524 m, Sept.Oc.1918, leg. Fletcher, Pres. by Imp. Inst. Ent. B. M. 1939-202 (BMNH); 1 female, same locality, Oct.1916, leg. Fletcher, Pres. by Imp. Inst. Ent. B. M. 1939-202 (BMNH).

Diagnosis. Two females at hand are very similar to M. spinulosa sp. n. The subgenital plate is trilobate in both species and there is a baso-lateral sclerite at both sides, but the lateral lobes are longer in M. longipinna and the lateral sclerites larger.

Discussion. The species was previously known from the male holotype only. The two females at hand were collected in the same area as the holotype but not together with a male. As more than one species of Mirollia can occur in the same or in nearby localities, it cannot be completely excluded that the females may belong to another species.

Description. Female. Epiproct triangular, furrowed. Cerci narrow conical, faintly curved behind middle. Subgenital plate transverse with auricular baso-lateral sclerites; apical margin wide, at both lateral angles with a narrow triangular lobe, in middle with a very short but broad obtuse lobe (Fig. 20B); baso-lateral sclerites in lateral view elongate with dorsal margin truncate and little projecting apicad (Fig. 21F). Ovipositor falcate.

Measurements (2 females). Body w/wings: 38; body w/o wings: 18; pronotum: 4.8–5.0; tegmen: 29–30; hind wing: 33–34; hind femur: 14–16; ovipositor: 6.5–7.0 mm.
