Chlorops rufinus (Zetterstedt)

Oscinis rufina Zetterstedt, 1848: 2628. Type locality: SWEDEN.

Diagnosis. Head yellow. Gena narrowed, nearly as high as 3rd antennal segment. Ocellar triangle shinning yellow with a small black spot on anterior apex, with a median brownish bridge. Antenna yellow, 3rd antennal segment very small, nearly rounded; arista white, with yellow basal segment. Palpi yellow; clypeus reddish-yellow. Thoracic pleuron shinning yellow except for anteroventral region of anepisternum with a black spot; anepimeron with a reddish-yellow spot on anteroventral region occasionally; katepisternum with reddish-yellow lower portion, katepimeron covered with tiny pale setulae. Scutum yellow with 5 reddish-yellow stripes, the median stripe black anteriorly.

Distribution. China (Beijing, Xinjiang), Europe, Japan.
Remarks. It is a well kwnon species. Kanmiya (1983) redescribed it in detail with the excellent illustration. This species is recorded here for the first time from China.
