Material examined. 1Ƥ (MNHN-IU- 2010-2874), Vicking, KGSssech-1, Storegga NE, 64°45.281ʹN 05°06.217ʹE, 742 m, 23/05/2006.
Remarks. The only specimen of Paranarthrurella voeringi taken in the present study was caught in the immediate neighbourhood of the type locality (vide Sars 1887). Existing records indicate that this species has a depth range of 630–1825 m. [The synonymization of the deep-water species P. (= Strongyrula) arctophylax (Norman & Stebbing, 1886) by Jóżwiak et al. (2009) is not accepted herein.]
