Differential diagnosis. Lycocerus dilatatus sp. nov. is in its coloration and body form most similar to Lycocerus orientalis (Gorham, 1889) (China: Fujian, Jiangxi), from which and from other Lycocerus -species it differs considerably in the strongly dilated apices of laterophyses in ventral view.

Etymology. Derived from Latin dilatare = to dilate, named in the reference of apically dilated laterophyses in ventral view.

Distribution. China: Guizhou province.
