Description
Coriomeris scabricornis scabricornis (Panzer, 1809)
Coreus scabricornis Panzer, 1809: pl. 21 (as new species); Coreus scabricollis Stephens, 1829: 341; Merocoris serratus A. Costa, 1847: 7; Coriomeris nigridens Jakovlev, 1906: 198.
Distribution in Iran. Ardabil (Modarres Awal 1987), East Azarbaijan (Modarres Awal 1997a, b; Hassanzadeh et al. 2009b; Gharaat et al. 2009; Khaghaninia et al. 2010b), Iran (no locality cited) (Tshernova 1978).
General distribution. Trans Palearctic (unknown in the Mediterranean basin).
Comments. On Medicago sativa (Fabaceae) (Modarres Awal 1997a), and Onobrychis sativa (Fabaceae) (Modarres Awal 1997b).
Note. The distribution of another subspecies (C. scabricornis lapponicus Tshernova 1978) is restricted to northern Russia and Scandinavia.
